So it's been awhile since I have written on here but my life has been so crazy busy, that I haven't found the time to just sit down and take some time out for myself. Summer is officially here now and the boys are anxious to be out of summer school and ready for summer fun .
I have been working so much, that I too am ready for some vacation time myself and a little bit of fun and relaxation to go with it ,would be nice as well. I have so many places I would love to go to (out of town) , but it's just trying to find the time to take off from work and to sit and plan out a budget for those wonderful vacation places that we would like to travel to .I'm seeing more of having a Staycation though this yr.
Here in the KCKMO area they have some really fun places to go, like the new LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City and SEA LIFE Kansas City . Also at Crown Center plaza you can take your kids for Free to the Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice™ . There you can see realistic like dinos and they have a dig area for the kids a slide and a few other things. My kids love to go to Fritz's Railroad Resturant where your food is delivered to your table by the overhead electric trains. Deanna Rose Farm , Worlds of Fun , Starlight ,Kaleidoscope, Kansas City zoo , are just a few more places that are some fun family things to do here as well.
Along with that comes lots of summer evenings spent at the pool and weekends as well . The boys are always wanting to swim and seem to drag us there alot. Evenings enjoying watching the sunset as well as the boys playing ball,(baseball, football, basketball), so much to look forward to :)
Last weekend we all went camping for the first time ever . It was sooo much fun and the boys loved it alot. Setting up the tent and making a fire as well as roasting hotdogs and s'mores, fishing , and my older son chasing down a raccoon who stole our marshmallows. HAHA
If you know me you know I am more of a camping at a Hotel/motel kind of a girl and not trying to rough it in the outdoors ,but hey I did it and I have to say we will def go again this summer.
Summer....... So much to do for sure ! Looking forward to sharing more throughout our summer this year .Blessings!
