But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

♪♫♪♫ Christmas time is here ♪♫♪♫♪

My days are so busy anymore that  I find myself coming and going . It's hard to believe that this year has past by so quickly that we are already into the last month  (Dec) of this year. So thus begins the setting up the tree, lights, and decor and I have to tell you I love this yearly tradtion!
Usually I decorate the tree  by myself ,but the last couple of  years or so I have let the boys help me as well because they enjoy it as much as I do . They older ones do a pretty good job of distrubiting the ornaments evenly around the tree ,but the younger 2 focus on putting alot  of ornaments together in one place on the tree and it dosen't quite look as nice , but usually when they are asleep I will do a little rearranging.  All in all we get the house all festive for Christmas and of course you can never have too much.
During this season we have family tradtions that we do like preparing Christmas Boxes for OCC,  reading the Christmas Story in several differnet childrens books and from the Bible, making Christmas Cookies  while listening to Christmas music ( my kids love this ) , sitting in front of our fireplace playing board games (this can get very competitive HAHA) , watching a Christmas movie and having popcorn and hot cocoa with it (FUN) ,Driving around and looking at Christmas Lights and I don't know about you but I love glancing inside their windows as we pass and seeing all thier beautiful trees and décor . It always gives me ideas as well ! These are just a few tradtional things we do every yr!

New Job

So not that my life isn't busy enough with being a Mom to 4 boys , taking care of our home  and working for the library ! I now can say I have a Third job to add to that . But it's a great job with amazing team members and I have to say some really Awesome trainers!
Chick-fil-A has become our  family's number #1 favorite resturant and it's always great to go in and chat with their team because they soon become almost like a part of your family . I have made some wonderful friends through them as well! Plus I love their resturant policy of being closed on Sunday to give their team a chance to be with their familys and have a day off to rest.
Well today was an intense crazy day full of learning and having Trainers come in from all over the state to give us and Our New Blue Springs Store a rundown of all the ins and outs of how to serve our guests/customers and give them the Best service we can. I never have worked in a resturant so all this is so new to me but you know what they say "Practice makes Perfect" and even though I think the Drive through is a little bit Crazy , I know that soon I will be just like those pros LOL
My boys are so excited that Their Mom is going to be working for Chick-fil-A ! I look forward to our Grand Opening that happens this week . It will be crazy for sure and if you have never tried a Chick-fil-A , stop in at one sometime and give them a try , you definitly will become a Raving Fan!

Thankfulness

Thankfulness, Gratefulness , we hear it alot throughout this month because of the wonderful holiday called "Thanksgiving". On this day families get together from all over for food , fellowship, & togetherness. Their Thankful to God for a happy and healthy family, to a safe home , their job or a recent promotion , for freedom, and the list goes on.
I am not always Thankful or Grateful though. Many times I wonder "Why Can't I Have What someone else has like  A Bigger Home , a nicer car, new home decor, maid service, a housekeeper , going out more , family that lives close by , etc!  Because after the all cleaning , cooking ,  & picking up the kids rooms and  the tenth load of laundry , my children arrive home and it's back to work you go! LOL
Of course  being the "Perfect Mom" that I am , I never Complain!  RIGHT , there are days that I grumble and complain about all of this hard work that I do here at home, and at work ,and how I am not appreciated. How if only I had a perfect life , perfect family, how awesome that would be!  How it would be wonderful if I had someone doing everything for me.
This is one of my favorite times of year and as I went for a walk on this Fall day I noticed all the Beautiful foliage that surrounded me. I could not help but admire God's creation and all it's beauty ! Which made me stop and think how Thankful I was for being able to "SEE " all  of these amazing colors and  beauty that God created!
This made me start thinking of all that I have to be Thankful & Grateful for! What If I could not see, because there are those that have no sight to see! There are those that are crippled, paralyzed or confine to a wheelchair unable to do easy task such as folding laundry, sweeping , washing dishes, tucking the children into bed, they would give anything to be able to do that!
What about the homeless , who sleep in the streets , and wonder if anyone cares and are grateful just to find somewhere safe and warm to sleep , or the hungry child  in a third world country or even here in the US  who cries themselves to sleep wondering will there be food tomorrow and then they are Thankful if they find whatever food they can !
It makes my Complaining & Grumbling over all that I do and all that I don"t have selfish and shallow in comparison to what others truly" Don't have "and that they are Grateful and Thankful for what little they do have!
I know there will be times when I will want to complain or be disatisfied that I don't have everything that I think I need , but I challenge all of us to look around at all the Beauty that we have in our lives . I am so thankful for my Family, my children , a home that provides us warmth in the winter months ahead, food that nourishes my boys and helps them grow, the tons of laundry and cleaning that I do and plus the inside plumbing that provides us clean water to do all that Laundry and Cleaning :)  ( I don"t think I could have made it back in my great grandma's day LOL)
So I am going to start focusing on how Thankful and Grateful  I am for all the things in my life . Not just this month because it's the time to "Give Thanks" but I want to remember it all year long and how Blessed I am beyond measure to have all that God has provided and given to me.

Like today ,getting out the door while one brother tries to torment another brother because he's "SO  BORED" while he's waiting on his bus and you look at them and think, "Those are not my kids" . Of course it's Mom to the rescue to try to subdue them. Then it melts your heart when they make up and they seem like they are "BEST PALS" .

So join me in the days/weeks ahead as I share with you my life and my family as we dive and soar into adventures and mishaps unknown .
